Guitar Hero III slides into McIntyre
Guitar Hero III, the long-awaited guitar jamming sequel arrives at The Matrix on McIntyre. If you missed out on the craze on the PlayStation 2 or when the sequel hit the Xbox 360, let’s bring you up to speed: In Guitar Hero, you simply rock out to classic and contemporary guitar-heavy songs by following along with an on-screen bar. On this bar, you’ll need to have your fingers pressing on individual or multiple buttons on the guitar neck and strumming to the specific beat. Play successfully and you’ll rack up serious points. Screw up and you’ll ruin your ears with the sound of sour notes.
As an added incentive, Georgia at The Matrix on Rochdale is issuing a challenge to all gamers attending Midnight Madness on Friday October 26: Come dressed in your Halloween costume! Gamer related costumes preferred, but an impressive non-gamer costume will also suffice. Prizes will be awarded based on costumes, if the effort is shown. Meaning face paint alone isn’t going to do it, guys. Full head-to-toe Master Chief outfit isn’t necessary (but wow, we’d love to see that!), but coming as “guy with clever shirt” won’t get you recognition.
